FAQ
Making the switch to a new streaming platform can be quite stressful. We’re here to help make the process easy and are available to chat when you need us. However, there are a lot of questions that are frequently asked that we will address here. Scroll through this page and see if we may have answered your question.
What is BapCaster?
BapCaster is a message streaming platform that allows you to easily share your audio messages with your community. It makes the message upload process easy, and the message listening process even easier. BapCaster makes it possible for listeners (and your community) to easily listen to and search for any messages that you’ve ever spoken.
Why Should I Consider BapCaster?
In recent years, there has been a great concern of KJV Baptist Churches getting de-platformed from the “big social media” sites due to community guidelines issues. Unfortunately, if a church is unable to successfully get this waived, they lose all access to making posts, announcing events, and most importantly, sharing the gospel.
BapCaster is designed to be a buffer between your organization, and the Internet. You can store your messages with us, and simply share a link to your BapCaster church profile on your church’s social media site. This way, if an account shutdown ever occurred, your content would be safe with BapCaster.
Do I have to use BapCaster by itself?
No, you definitely don’t have to use BapCaster by itself! While you can use BapCaster alone to upload audio messages, we also include an option to add embedded YouTube streams if you’d like. Additionally, you can provide links to your other social media services on BapCaster so your community can more closely interact with your church.
How much does BapCaster cost?
For all our early adopters, we simply ask for whatever the Lord leads your church to give. If your church is unable to give anything, that is perfectly fine! We provide the same features and functionality to churches that gift as we do to churches that don’t gift.
By gifting the BapCaster platform, you help with the development and safety of BapCaster’s future. Due to the pricing of cloud infrastructure, we certainly appreciate your gifts.
Is BapCaster audio-only?
As of right now, you may only upload audio files to BapCaster. This is to reduce data traffic costs and slow the expense curve. However, BapCaster is planning to allow video uploads sometime in the future.
As an alternative, you can put in a YouTube video link to your message, which will display as a YouTube embed on the BapCaster app.
Do I have to redirect listeners to BapCaster to hear my messages?
No, you certainly don’t! While the experience on the BapCaster app is much more streamlined, we have made a feature that allows you to embed your BapCaster messages on your own church’s website. All you have to do is click the ‘Share‘ button on your message, select ‘Embed,’ and paste the embed code in your HTML web code, or WordPress embed block.
Does BapCaster allow any church?
No, BapCaster does not allow any church to join the platform. Churches may be added to BapCaster by requesting access, or by receiving a request from a BapCaster admin or staff member.
BapCaster has fairly strict entry requirements, to ensure that the reputation of our member churches remains safe.
How do I add messages, edit messages, and manage my church?
Take a look at the BapCaster YouTube channel! We have great video tutorials explaining how to complete day-to-day BapCaster tasks. Videos are frequently added there, showing how to do various things on the BapCaster application. If you’re still stuck, we are available to chat when you need us.
My church doesn’t use the KJV Bible, is BapCaster still an option?
BapCaster is only available to KJV Churches, there are no plans to extend access to any other churches that use different English versions of the Bible at this time.
How does my church get exposure on BapCaster?
Great question! We have come up with many creative ways to help gain your church exposure with the BapCaster platform. First, all your messages are added to the BapCaster search engine, meaning if a visitor searches for a message matching a keyword in your church’s message, your church will appear in their search results.
We also have a Church Finder feature that shows the distance from a visitor’s ZIP code to your church’s ZIP code. This is a great way to attract nearby potential visitors.
We hope that we’ve been able to answer your main questions! If you did not find what you were looking for, we are available to chat when you need us.
