When referring to BapCaster, there are multiple roles available to organizations that can be used to view or edit content. The three roles are Viewer, Manager, and Administrator. We will spend some time discussing each of these roles as well as their purpose.
Viewers/Visitors
Anyone who visits BapCaster and your organization is automatically a Viewer. Viewers are only able to listen to your BapCaster messages, as well as search the platform for messages preached at your church. This role is ultimately who you will be trying to reach.
Managers
Any user who has access to make changes to a particular organization is referred to as a Manager. It is worth noting that a manager of one organization cannot make changes to another organization. All managers do not have the same level of privileges unless a manager with full control of the organization grants them more access. There are multiple permission levels available to Managers, which include:
Organization Owner
An organization owner is not particularly an “Owner” of the church, it is simply the manager with the highest level of access to your organization. This user can make any changes to your organization, such as creating, editing, or deleting users; making changes to messages; or changing the organization’s colors, address, or name.
Full Control
Managers with the “Full Control” status are able to do everything that the organization owner can, however, they cannot demote other users with “Full Control” or “Owner” status.
Editor
Managers with the “Editor” status are able to add, edit, and remove messages, as well as create new users with a level lower than theirs (Contributor)
Contributor
Managers with the “Contributor” status are able to add messages, edit messages, and create speakers.
Administrators
Administrators are the technical support that run the BapCaster platform. They have some level of access to every organization on the platform. They may upload messages, create speakers, or change organization settings on your behalf. When you contact support by email or phone, you must provide a Support number that can be found on your dashboard. This (with your email) can be used to authorize changes to be made on your behalf.
Unless required by law or due to a violation of guidelines, the BapCaster platform strives to not make any changes to your organization unless we are explicitly told by a member of your organization that is Full Control or higher.
Conclusion
We hope that this review of Roles and Permission Levels has been helpful to you and your organization. We can’t wait to hear the messages that your church adds to the BapCaster platform!
